In the fall of 2023, the state of Iowa received a Center's for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Perinatal Quality Collaborative (PQC) award. This award has allowed the Iowa Neonatal Quality Collaborative (INQC) and the Iowa Maternal Quality Care Collaborative (IMQCC) to merge, forming the state's first Iowa Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative (IPQCC). The kickoff for the first neonatal project under this joint program took place on Thursday, September 19, 2024, and the first project around Neonatal Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy will begin in January 2025.
