The Statewide Perinatal Care Program provides training for health care professionals including:
- The development of evidence-based guidelines and standards of care
- Consultation to regional and primary providers
- Evaluation of the quality of care delivered to reduce the mortality and morbidity of infants
- Ongoing education for patients in all communities to receive the highest level of care within their communities
